| Your invoice contains a great deal of information and is useful for understanding fees and costs and anticipating when your Fee Deposit will need to be replenished. Your invoice also provides a summary of the work performed on your matter during the billing period.
We recognize that a multi-page invoice can be intimidating and confusing. The following four pages provide a brief description of a sample invoice. Key areas on the invoice have been outlined in red and are identified by a large red number, which correspondences to a description below.

| 1 Date of Invoice. 2 Invoice Number - Reference this number when calling to discuss your bill. 3 This block displays time expended by the firm on your behalf. From Left to Right across the page: Date of Event; Description of Event; Amount of Time spent on Event (billed in 6 minute increments); Monetary Amount Billed for Time; Identifier of Attorney/Staff whose time is being billed. 4 This block summarizes the invoice. From Top to Bottom down the page: Total Charge for current invoice; Outstanding/Unpaid Account Balance; Applied payments/credits; Annual Interest Rate; Accrued Interest on any outstanding/unpaid account balance calculated using the Annual Interest Rate above. 5 This amount represents the total balance still owing. If this number is greater than $0.00, then a payment is due within 30 days to avoid interest penalties and/or possible withdrawal of our legal representation in your matter.
